Keep using your assistant of choice for music, shopping lists, or general questions; let Dory handle the entryway moment and fire your routines when keys are picked up or put down.
Yes and no. For reminders and household messages you need nothing at all: Dory works perfectly on its own, just the app. A hub or a smart home platform is only needed if you want Dory to trigger other devices, like lights, thermostats, alarms or music. Smart home integration is a bonus, not a requirement.
Anything your smart home supports. Lights off when you leave, thermostat down, alarm armed, your favorite playlist on when you arrive: all triggered automatically by picking up or putting down your keys. Dory provides the trigger, your smart home does the rest.
Yes. Because Dory knows who's leaving or arriving, you can set personalized routines per person. Your playlist when you come home, your partner's when they come home, the kids' bedroom lights only when they arrive, and so on.
Anything tied to who is at home and when. Energy-saving routines when the last person leaves (lights off, thermostat to eco, blinds down), welcome routines when the first person comes back, security routines (alarm armed/disarmed, smart locks), or per-person experiences (music, lighting, climate). If your smart home can do it on a trigger, Dory can be that trigger.
