Unboxing, setup time, and pairing your keys with no drilling. What to do when you change keychain, when two sets look alike, and who needs the app.
About 3 minutes. Download the app, place each person's keys on the tray once to create their profile, and set your first reminders. Done.
No installation required. Place Dory on any flat surface near your door, plug it in, and pair it with the app. No drilling, no tools.
If you change your key set, alter its structure, add a new key or attach a new keychain, Dory notices the change and prompts you in the app to recalibrate that profile. If you prefer, you can re-set the keys for any household member manually from the app, in just a few seconds.
Dory doesn't normally need anything attached to your keys to recognize them, the way you place them on the tray is enough. If two sets in your household happen to be too similar to tell apart reliably, Dory will notice during setup and ask you to add the small weight included in the box to one of the sets. Just attach it once, and Dory will recognize each person flawlessly from then on.
For the best experience, yes. When everyone in the household has the app, each person can receive their own notifications, leave voice messages for others and manage their own reminders. If someone doesn't have the app, Dory can still speak to them out loud when they pick up or put down their keys, but they won't be able to send messages or interact directly with the device.
