Daily Use
How Dory fits into your day-to-day routine: reminders, smart suggestions, customization, quiet hours, and what happens when you forget your keys behind.
Nothing. Dory stays silent. It only speaks when there's something useful to say.
If you walk out without picking up your keys, it usually means you've forgotten them. Dory notices that the keys are still on the tray and sends an alert to your phone, letting you know you've left home without your keys.
Dory only speaks when it has something useful to say. No notification spam, no daily digest, no sounds just to fill the silence. On top of that, you decide how Dory talks to you: voice only, app notification only, or both. You can change this at any time, per person, so Dory always fits the way you like to be reminded.
Yes. For every person, you can choose how Dory delivers reminders: voice only, push notification only, or both. Each household member sets their own preferences in the app, and you can change them at any time.
Yes. You can schedule quiet hours (for example, after 10pm or before 7am): during those windows Dory won't speak out loud, and reminders are delivered silently as push notifications instead. There's also a "silent mode" you can toggle on demand from the app, useful when you're on a call, have guests over, or someone at home is sleeping.
Yes. You can pick from a selection of voices and accents in the app, per person if you like. At launch, Dory speaks two languages: English and Italian. More languages will be added over time.
Yes. You can set reminders to repeat daily, on specific weekdays (like "gym bag every Tuesday and Thursday"), or on custom schedules. Set it once, and Dory handles the rest.
Yes, these are exactly what Smart memos are built for. Once you connect the relevant services, the model can deliver things like: "Rain expected at 3pm, bring an umbrella." / "Flight at 2pm, don't forget your passport." / "Paper recycling today, take it out before you leave." (based on the local waste schedule you provide at setup). You don't configure these one by one. The model decides which data source matters at which moment.
Yes. A simple Digital memo handles "Take your pills before leaving." And when you have a commitment that needs something specific, a Smart memo connects the two: a workout in your calendar becomes "Don't forget your inhaler", a high pollen day becomes "Pollen is high today, take your antihistamine".
Yes. You can enable or disable Smart memos by category: medical, sport, social, weather, travel, and so on, and set frequency limits, so you only get the suggestions that actually matter to you. Dory adapts to your preferences over time, going quieter where you don't need it and sharper where you do.
Dory can recognize both people, as long as the keys aren't picked up at the exact same instant. Even a 0.5-second gap is enough. To get the most reliable experience, we recommend picking up keys one after the other: a small gesture that helps Dory deliver each person's reminders flawlessly.
Yes. Reminders can trigger on departure (picking up keys) or arrival (placing them back). For example: "Welcome back, the laundry finished while you were out" or "Presentation tomorrow at 9, prep your slides tonight."
Dory isn't a tracker like AirTag or Tile: it doesn't follow your keys around outside the home. But it does one thing that helps: if you walk out the door without your keys, Dory notices they're still on the tray and sends an alert to your phone before you've gone too far.
